Gorey Breakfast Report

The second time this year we had our breakfast in the Southeast and this time we rotated to Gorey and the Amber Springs Hotel. The venue is ideal with the car park at the back and its restaurant upstairs on level 1 and they couldn’t have been more forthcoming to help us having a great breakfast without any hitches.

For the ones that were there, would remember the plate full of eggs and numerous amount of refill etc. to quench any hunger this morning.

General chit chat and banter filled the room as we all reacquainted any long not seen or last seen at the RIAC show the weekend before or new members. I couldn’t hold myself was real bold to eat as many sausages and eggs I could get. I just love Irish breakfast and frankly I don’t care what the Doc’s say about them … haha.

Vincent arrived in his usual Turbo 1 steed and she was as dazzling as ever standing beside John’s silver Turbo 1, Dave’s GT3 was there as well though no Dave and I will have to ask him what kind of remote control he is using. Robert and Rob came in a beautiful 08 911, Sean had his lovely 07 I think 911 4S and I just couldn’t get over the width of the rear as he drove off home, with Chris bringing his 924 and Dan from Kilkenny joined us with a lovely 1979 SC example as did Andy with his 1979 SC. Ciaran brought his 944 in spotless condition after years of work he put in and our Southeast member Brian from Waterford and Dave from the Gorey area brought a Citroen 1972 I think though he also owns a 924 Turbo. Paul brought his daily driver with his son Neil as did I bring my daily driver and there was James who owns a 924. Phillip also arrived in his daily driver as he just getting his 944 Turbo ready to put back on the road.

If have forgotten anyone to mention it would have been unintentional and I ask you to forgive me it was pretty exciting and I was happily surprised to see you all answering my call for Breakfast.

So I will close with a call for Breakfast on the 24th of March in Clonmel with details to follow through our usual distribution mails, our PCI-Website and on the Forum.

Many thanks again and hope to see you there,

George
